Charging a client

Invoices, payment plans, and where the money lands.

Create an invoice from the client's matter, describe the service clearly, set the amount and due date, and review the recipient email before sending. The client pays through Stripe's hosted payment page; Estateur does not collect card numbers in the matter record.

Payment status updates from Stripe webhooks. Open invoices, failed payments, and overdue items appear in Outstanding, and milestone reminders avoid sending the same alert every day.

Connected-account funds follow Stripe's settlement timing and account requirements. Refunds, disputes, and payment-plan changes should be handled from the transaction record so the matter and payment history remain aligned.
