Common questions
When do I pay?
The quiz and a recommendation are always free. When you choose a plan or documents, you'll review your order, agree to our terms, and pay. Then we walk you through the guided intake and generate your documents. Payment comes before intake so your documents are ready to download as soon as you finish.
What states are supported?
All 50 states and the District of Columbia are supported, with documents tailored to each state's execution formalities, mandatory clauses, and statutory citations. Our rule sets are attorney-crafted, and Illinois is the most fully developed today. Estateur is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
Can I update my documents later?
Estateur Care members can re-generate documents as many times as they need, after a life event, a change in your wishes, or a change in state law. Without a membership, you would purchase a new generation at the document price.
How do Couples Packages work?
A Couples Package covers both spouses at a discounted couples price, both of you included for less than two separate plans. During the intake interview, we'll gather information for both of you in one session. Each spouse gets their own complete set of documents.
Do I need an attorney to use Estateur?
No. Estateur is designed so that most straightforward estate plans don't require attorney involvement. That said, we always recommend a brief attorney review if your situation is complex, such as blended families, business ownership, out-of-state property, or potential estate-tax exposure.
What's your refund policy?
No refunds are issued once documents have been generated and made available for download. If you experience a technical error preventing delivery, contact us within 7 days and we'll make it right.
